In this project, AMS was supported in defining and sharpening its strategic foundation, including vision, mission, value proposition, and guiding principles.
Context
AMS is a long-established provider of electronic manufacturing services (EMS) in northern Germany, offering high-precision development, electronics, mechanics, and assembly from a single source.
With more than 40 years of experience and a team of around 100 specialists, AMS stands for engineering excellence and reliable industrial partnerships.
Challenge
While AMS had a strong operational foundation, its strategic narrative and positioning were not clearly articulated or consistently communicated.
Vision, mission, and value proposition existed implicitly but lacked a structured and unified formulation for internal alignment and external communication.
Solution Approach
A structured approach was applied to define and align the company’s strategic core, combining vision and mission development with value proposition design and the formulation of guiding principles.
The focus was on creating a clear, authentic narrative that reflects AMS’s role as a development partner and system integrator.
Implementation
Vision, mission, and value proposition were systematically refined and translated into a consistent strategic framework.
Building on this, a structured set of guiding principles was developed, capturing key dimensions such as product responsibility, engineering mindset, customer partnerships, and collaborative diversity.
Results and Impact
The project establishes a clear and consistent strategic foundation for positioning, communication, and internal alignment.
The resulting “Guiding Principles Universe” serves as both an internal compass and an external reference point for messaging and brand development.
It provides a solid basis for coherent communication across marketing, HR, and long-term customer relationships.
